La noche de este Domingo se celebrará la gala de premios más esperada de la industria cinematográfica: Los óscares. A partir de las 17 horas (hora local) actores, directores, productores, músicos y muchos más personajes de la industria desfilaran por la alfombra roja en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles, en California (Estados Unidos).
La ceremonia será encabezada nuevamente por el comediante estadounidense Jimmy Kimmel.
En la 90° edición de esta prestigiosa entrega, la película favorita es la del director mexicano Guillermo del Toro, “La forma del agua”(The Shape of Water), que cuenta con 13 nominaciones, incluyendo la categoría de mejor director.
"La forma del agua" estuvo a punto de alcanzar el récord de 14 nominaciones que solo han conseguido "All About Eve" (“La malvada”), "Titanic" y "La La Land".
La película animada “Coco”, además de ser la preferida en su categoría, también integra a mexicanos en la entrega de los premios, por ello Gael García, Natalia La Fourcade y Miguel interpretaran la canción “Remember me” como parte de la programación. De la misma forma participaran como presentadores Eugenio Derbez e Eiza González.
A las 20 horas comenzará formalmente la entrega de los premios, los nominados son:
